4(TN) AIR SQN (TECH) NCC

NCC Air wing for senior division boys and senior wing girls was started in Vel Tech Dr.RR & Dr.SR Technical University in 2003 and in Vel Tech Multi Tech Dr Rangarajan Dr Sakunthala Engineering College in 2004. It comes under the 4(TN) AIR SQN (TECH) NCC Unit at I.I.T., Chennai – 36.
Ever since its inception it has been functioning extremely well with the constant and motivating support from the management. The permitted strength of 50 cadets were enrolled including girl cadets. All the cadets were selected based on their skills and ambition. The main aim of NCC is to cultivate "Unity and Discipline". All the selected cadets get trained in various fields such as Foot Drill, Firing , Micro Light Flying, Aero Modeling and Weapon Training. Most of the cadets attended the Annual training camp at IIT. Among the five colleges which come under this unit one Cadet of our college had the privilege of representing the 4(TN) unit in Air Force Attachment camp at Indian Air force, Tambaram. .Nearly 12 cadets were in Micro light Flight from IAF, Tambaram over Chennai and they had a thrilling Experience

NCC Naval wing for senior division boys and senior wing girls was started in Vel Tech Ranga Sanku Engineering college in2009. It comes under the 1 [TN] NAVAL UNIT NCC Unit at Kilpakkam, Chennai.
Ever since its inception it has been functioning extremely well with the constant and motivating support from the management. The permitted strength of 50 cadets were enrolled including girl cadets. All the cadets were selected based on their skills and ambition. The main aim of NCC is to cultivate "Unity and Discipline". All the selected cadets get trained in various fields such as Foot Drill, Firing ,Scuba diving,Ship Modelling,and Weapon Training.
